Carter is one of a kind. I had a siding upgrade project I needed to get done before the exterior painters where scheduled. I DIDN’T go with his bid, but went with another contractor. That person (who I shall not name), not only was three weeks late completing less than a third of the contract – but he hired help off of Craig’s List and I had to fire him and eat 3k of upfront costs. Carter had to rip everything completed off and start from scratch while working late hours and in terrible weather to meet our deadline. His bids are fair, he can handle custom work, and has great communication. I had a 5K project that cost me 8K because I didn’t follow my gut when getting bids. I won’t hesitate to have him bid future projects.

Replace Siding on 3400 sf tri-level home in Sandpoint

Comments: The company representative will walk YOU around the project and point out potential problems with your house and what he will do to correct discovered issues. You will get an honest quote that does not grow during the course of the job. You will get a realistic completion time that does not change unless something previously unknown is discovered. In my case, my home was finished 2 days ahead of expected completion time. Several things should be mentioned, 1) Work ethic; if a commitment is made they keep it, 2) quality of work; is top notch. They even replaced the flashing between the roof and siding where needed. 3) Clean up; when the clean up is completed it is as if they were never there. The very last item that is done, is the final walk around. The representative will actually walk around the house with you. Any issues you might have are answered then and there. One last thing about a month after completion, I received a phone call asking if I had any issues with the work. I did not. I looked at 4 different companies and found Aspen Construction & Design to be about in the middle (tied for 2nd) as far as cost, However, quality is far better and you will be pleased if you pick this company. At least meet with them.

The bid was prompt, the work was done fairly well. There were a few things that probably should have been included that were not. After a phone call, most were corrected. A few had to be done by myself. A little better description of what was NOT included would have been ideal. That said, I will definitely use them again on future projects.
